Is 13th month pay taxable?

Answer

It depends on the market. In the Philippines it is tax-free up to PHP 90,000 combined with other benefits. Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand tax it as employment income. China lets residents tax the annual bonus separately until 31 December 2027.
