Question

Who is not covered by the Employment Act?

Answer

Seafarers, domestic workers and public servants are not covered. Independent contractors also fall outside the Act because they work under a contract for service. Managers and executives are covered by the core provisions but not by Part IV. See our independent contractor guide.
