How is severance pay calculated in Malaysia?

Malaysian employees with at least 12 months of continuous service receive 10 days’ wages per year of service if they served less than 2 years, 15 days if they served 2 to 5 years, and 20 days if they served 5 years or more. Payment is due within 7 days of termination.
